About the position

At FMV, we develop and deliver equipment, services, and technology to the Armed Forces – to strengthen defense today, tomorrow, and far into the future. We are in a time of growth and are now seeking a manager for the air defense unit. The unit belongs to the land department, which focuses on digitizing the army with modern and secure communication solutions using modern technology so that the Armed Forces can best lead their units. The land air defense analyzes and procures communication and information systems for air defense and procures and integrates technical systems for UAVs/drones and command support systems for international missions. The unit currently consists of about 12 employees.

As a unit manager, you are the first-line manager responsible for the unit's operations, personnel, and finances. Furthermore, you have overall responsibility for deliveries within the unit's mission and for achieving an efficient and purposeful operation. Your work is carried out in close collaboration with other parts of the command systems area, FMV, and the Armed Forces, and part of the work is to maintain and develop good cooperation. You report to the department manager and are part of the department's management team. As a manager, you represent FMV's vision, goals, and values, and you are your employees' most important communication channel.

About you

We are looking for someone with managerial experience or experience from a supervisory role, such as a project manager, for qualified operations. We see that you have experience from a complex operation that has required extensive coordination, planning, implementation, and follow-up of projects, production, and finances. You who are applying have an academic education or equivalent education/competence acquired in another way that we assess as comparable.

We view positively knowledge in the technical field or other relevant industry experience, as well as if you have experience and knowledge of the Armed Forces and FMV's operations and the interaction between the authorities. It is also advantageous to have experience from another government agency and from public procurement. Finally, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of project management and preparation work. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

The position is located in Stockholm. The job may involve travel, both within and outside Sweden.
